automatically. Tape backup users will have to check backup log manually
to make sure backup runs correctly as expected.

loss against fire, earthquake or terrorist attack.

swapping and error checking are not needed

server validates every file saved automatically
- Data stored on our server can be
retrieved via the Internet anytime, anywhere without first requiring
installation of additional software.
- Backup file revision keeps all backup
versions
- Data Redundancy Protection: All your
backup files will be duplicated to a secondary backup storage system for
additional protection. Even our primary storage system fails to work
your data are still safe in the backup storage system.
- Request for CD/DVD
- If you would like to store your backup
data on permanent storage media CD-R/DVD-R, you can submit us the
Request for Backup Data on CD-R/DVD-R form. Once we receive this
request, we will collect and store all your backup data on the
CD-R/DVD-R and send the media to you within two business days. A $25
process and handling fee + media cost will be applied per each request.
- Backup are securely encrypted
- All of your files are first zipped and
encrypted with a your defined encrypting key before they are sent to our
backup server. To all people but you, your files stored on our backup
server are no more than some garbage files with random content.
- We don't keep your encrypting key
- The encryption key used to encrypt
your files resides only on your computer and is known only to you. It is
never transmitted anywhere across the network. If this key is lost, all
backup files can never be recovered. Therefore, although we have access
to all files you stored on our backup server, we have no knowledge of
the content of the files you stored.
- Secure 128-bit SSL communication
- All communications between our Backup
Server and your computer are transported in a 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket
Layer) channel. Although your entire backup files travel through a
public network (internet), eavesdroppers have no knowledge of what has
been exchanged
Note: Backup performance depends heavily on
the speed of subscriber's internet access. Under normal condition, a
subscriber with a broadband 1.5MB access can upload 197 Mbytes of compressed
data within an hour |
